News in brief: April 2008
Some news around the blogosphere/internet in general:
- WordPress.com will be banned in Brazil? Lorelle VanFossen shared her opinion about this issue. And, do not forget to read the detailed coverage.
- Six Apart, the company behind Movable Type, Typepad, Livejournal and VOX launched a Facebook application called BlogIt. When it was launched for the first time, it only had a basic feature. Now, we can use Markdown for text formatting.
- We can upload videos on Flickr now. It is limited to 90 seconds. It might be too short, but… it also a challenge. Not only that, Flickr also doubled the size of photos that can be uploaded. Free accounts can upload up to 10 MB/photo, and 20 MB/photo for pro accounts.
- Google Starts to Index the Invisible Web.
