Mozilla Developer Center announced Mozilla Firefox 2.0.0.8 release. This release fixed some security issues in previous Firefox 2.0.0.7:
- URIs with invalid %-encoding mishandled by Windows
- XPCNativeWrapper pollution using Script object
- Possible file stealing through sftp protocol
- XUL pages can hide the window titlebar
- File input focus stealing vulnerability
- Browser digest authentication request splitting
- onUnload Tailgating
- Crashes with evidence of memory corruption (rv:1.8.1.8)
The update process is so simple. You can navigate to **Help** menu, and choose “**Check for Updates…**”. If you want to download and install it manually, get the installer from http://getfirefox.com

Yesterday, Opera Software also released the its Opera 9.24. It’s not the branch of Kestrel. So, if you’re using Opera, and you haven’t upgrade to Opera 9.5 series, it’s recommended to upgrade your Opera to this version.
The latest Opera 9.5 alpha (Build 9603) is also available. It seems that the Opera Browser Team works hard for the coming release. They also plan of releasing a snapshot everyday: A Snapshot a Day Keeps the Bugs Away. :)
