I do not visit Kompas website regularly, I mean everyday. And I can’t agrre more with what Willy wrote above. And, let’s try to find out what makes the site slow to load.
Here, we are talking about advertisement (static image and also flash ads). Are they annoying? I think so. This advertisements can be a great method for Kompas to make profit. I am not sure how much those advertisers should pay for their advertisements. But the point is: the ads are there, and we (as a user) can not do much about it. It’s is Kompas decision.

I use MyBlogLog service in this blog. If you’re WordPress user, you can now integrate MyBlogLog into your blog comments. You can display MyBlogLog avatar instead of Gravatar. How? Easy, use MyAvatars plugin, a WordPress plugin for MyBlogLog. I am not sure whether this kind of plugin will be available for Movable Type or not. Anyone?

Are you using Google Apps for your domain? Now, you can have a custom URL for your Google Apps addresses. For example, if you have host your email for your domain using Google Hosted email service, your login URL will be something like http://mail.google.com/hosted/yourdomain.com, or http://www.google.com/a/yourdomain.com. Now, you can make your own email login address e.g. http://email.yourdomain.com/.
All you need to do is just login to your Google service control panel, create a custom URL, and create/add a CNAME record.
You can have a custom URL for your other Google service e.g. Google Calendar.

Oh ya, Mas Joko ini adalah salah seorang yang pernah ikut berpartisipasi mengirimkan SMS pada acara Demam Blog di E-Lifestyle MetroTV beberapa waktu lalu.
Disana, kami bertemu dengan beberapa teman baru. Ada Mas Joko dan Oyi (semoga saya tidak salah menuliskan nama), Nolda, Mas Heru, dan beberapa rekan lain. Dan kami banyak mendapatkan informasi mengenai apa yang ada di YPAC Solo ini, termasuk dengan fasilitas dan layanan yang diberikan. Oh ya, jika ingin mengunjungi YPAC Solo, tempat sangat mudah ditemukan. Tepatnya di depan Solo Grand Mall, persis di seberang jalan.
