Finally, the cake is ready. I have not tested it yet, but, I believe it will be delicious. Well, I am not too good in making a review, but let me try it based on my perspective.
OK, before, Six Apart announced about some features in the coming MT 3.1. And yes, it comes on the scheduled-time. MT 3.1 on August 3.1. Hohoh… lucky number?
I think, the major features I interested most is the dynamic pages. Yeah… I know some people say that this can be handled easily in other blogtools — blogtools that do not need rebuilding. In fact, rebuilding is not a crime. :) I like it in some ways.
For example, when there is a problem with the database connection, the page can be loaded with no problem. This is another positive aspects of rebuilding. And I do not have to sweat, since the machine does this.
The next thing is the subcategories. Well, some say that this is an old feature in some other tools. Once again, it is not about how new or how old a feature is. It is more on the development. MT does not have this features few months ago — but it has plugins to handle this. In another case, some months ago, some blogtools did not have features MT have. Every tools has their own development, and I think it they are all great.
Using post scheduling we can set a time and date for our posts to appear. And of course you have to be able to run a cronjob in your webserver. And mine can. So, if I want to use this feature, I can.
And more plugins.
Six Apart also launches a Professional Network.
The Professional Network is a free collection of resources for developers, designers, consultants, IT/IS managers, and enthusiasts who build on top of Six Apart platforms such as Movable Type, TypePad, and TypeKey — (Source)
Hey, another new stuff. MT Plugins Directory re-launched.
If you use Moveble Type — or reading Movable Type-powered weblogs, I think it is time to get a Typekey. If I am not mistaken, I got it during the development of MT 3 Beta.
Who should be blamed for my addiction to weblog? Now… MT. ;)
